I am so glad that you have come to check out this website. There are many helpful strategies and tools available here!
In the About Me section, you will learn a little bit more about me, Miss Amundson, as a person and teacher. You will learn what I believe in and why I love teaching math as well as what I like to do in my spare time.
In the Classroom Management section, you will find the beliefs of the
sixth grade teachers and how we plan to have the best year possible!
In the Growth Mindset section, you will find tips and tools to use if you find your child has a "fixed" mindset when it comes to math. Math is a difficult subject but it is NOT impossible.
In the Math Example section, you will find notes and videos for different topics. This section is to help both parent and student with their math homework.
In the Math Units section, you will find my expectations and the states expections. There will be "I Can" statements as well as the standards that will be covered in each unit. Throughout the year, I will update this section with different games, apps or websites that may be helpful for each unit.
Finally, in the Calendar section, you will find an approximate look at what we are doing each day. Of course, things come up but I will do my best to update it as needed.
